The strategic partnerships with Hartford Healthcare institutions have
been fundamental to the Company's progress to date by providing access
to patients and vast amounts of medical information and by instilling
a culture of advanced patient care. These partnerships have promoted
clinical development of our products on an extremely efficient basis.
Hartford Hospital, a major New England tertiary care and community
health care center serving Connecticut statewide, is one of the
country's leading clinical research hospitals. Its Institute of Living
(IOL) has been ranked among the Top 20 psychiatric hospitals in the
country by US News & World Report. Hartford Hospital
strategic partnerships, established in 2004, span cardiovascular and
psychotropic drugs and include intellectual property licenses,
clinical studies in preventive cardiology and psychiatry, joint NIH
grants, clinical DNA typing, and medical education. Genomas is
located on the Hartford Hospital campus in downtown Hartford and
leases 4,000 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art laboratory and office space
in the first floor of the Florence T. Crane building at 67 Jefferson
St. The Hospital also provides infrastructure, computer and internet
services to the Company. The Hospital has consistently recognized the
partnership in its communications and media outreach as "the future of
medicine, here today" and as "now tailoring your care to your genetic
make-up".
Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care teaching hospital
affiliated with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and
with the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, a world leader in diabetes
treatment, research and education. As a Joslin affiliate, the
Hospital develops rigorous standards of diabetes care and helps
patients to manage their disease throughout their lifetime. The
strategic partnership, established in October 2006, includes
intellectual property licenses, clinical studies in anti-diabetic drug
management and medical education.
Clinical Laboratory Partners (CLP) is a for-profit subsidiary of
Hartford Healthcare. CLP is the largest and fastest growing regional

centers throughout the State. Established in Newington, CT in 1998,
CLP serves over one million patients and performs over four million
lab tests per year. CLP has extensive experience with payers and
